I don’t reckon so. I had my first cat for over 10 yrs and she never went to the vet till she got sick. Cats are not as terrible as dogs but if you let kitty outside you must get him his shots and stuff and you must have them fixed.
I reckon its kinda cruel for people who have dogs or cats and just let them have litter with litter because they refuse to take it to get fixed or keep it inside. Or dog owners who refuse to take Fido in for required shots and tags.
It’s like not taking you kid to the doctors for annual checkups – highly discouraged, but generally within your rights. No one could take your pets away from you, unless you’ve signed an adoption agreement stating you would take your pets to the vet annually (or something similar) to get its boosters. Your local laws might also include a requirement to get rabies shots and boosters (that is generally the only disease that is legislated).
Taking most animals to the vet, can be quite stressful for them.
So it makes sense only to take them to the vet for a excellent reason. Weighing up what’s best for them, and life responsible for their well life. As well as other animals in the neighbourhood is very vital.

No. Just as long as you get the vaccinations and see that your animal is life very well cared for.
