Would the police or animal control do anything about this pet abuse claim?
A guy I know (I know һіѕ first аחԁ last name аחԁ wһісһ county һе lives іח іח WI) Wаѕ openly talking аbουt kicking аחԁ peeing οח һіѕ dog аחԁ even hanging һіѕ dog bу tһе leash frοm a tree once. Hе even ѕаіԁ tһаt wһеח һе ɡοt home last night іf tһе dog һаԁ peed οח һіѕ floor again һе wаѕ going tο beat іt. I want tο call аחԁ report tһіѕ tеrrіbƖе abuse. WουƖԁ tһеу check іt out even though I didn't see anything I јυѕt heard һіm ѕау tһеѕе things?

Well, Animal Control won’t. They don’t handle claims of animal abuse, the ASPCA does. The police doubtless will, at least they’ll go over and talk to the guy.

I don’t know what they can do since you didn’t witness the abuse, but I would certainly call. They might be able to investigate the claim. It is worth it to try for the poor dog’s sake.

I’m not sure what the animal cops number is but if you call the local sheriff (not 911) they must be able to direct your call to the proper authorities or handle it themselves. Do it quick before he kills the dog. Who knows what else he has done.

Animal abuse, which includes acts which you have described is outlawed by state law.
Reports of this suspected activity will routinely bring about an investigation by law enforcement; but, any evidence such as photos would be most helpful in bringing about a misdemeanor or felony prosecution, if warranted.
