Peta finds keeping pets as cruel, but what about abandoned domesticated animals?
I know аחԁ agree wіtһ peta's point οf view οח tһе exotic animal trade аחԁ һοw іt destroys wildlife. Bυt, wһаt аbουt animals tһаt аrе חοt wild Ɩіkе dogs аחԁ cats. If I wеrе tο take іח a stray cat wουƖԁ I bе viewed аѕ a cruel person imprisoning аח innocent creature?

Quite honestly, I don’t ever take note to anything PETA says. They’re right on matters of common sense, but they also got upset when a baseball player’s ball hit a seagull and when president obama swatted a glide on camera. They just look for reasons to be upset.

There is a huge difference between keeping an exotic animal as a pet and keeping a domesticated one, especially if the exotic animal is one that isn’t sloping to be a excellent pet anyway(like a lion or tiger, for instance). Many domesticated animals either evolved alongside humans in a style to be able to live with them, or were selectively bred by humans for desirable traits such as a mild temperament or ability to produce milk or meat. Hence many domestic animals would find it tough to live without our species around. Even feral cats, which are as about anti-human as they come in their mind-set, can find it a tough go without barns or abandoned buildings- both built by humans- to have for shelter. On the flip side, many species of wildlife have been saved from extinction by apposite intent breeding programs(which, incidentally, are not usually home-based but rather zoo or research center based). So go ahead and take in that stray cat if it is friendly and warms up to you. You’ll be doing it huge favor.

Any person that listens to anything PETA says is just as terrible as the people that belong to PETA. They are the ones that commit cruel act against animals not us regular folks.

no, if you’re feeding it and charitable it a safe place to stay at night where it was intake scraps out of the garbage and sleeping out in the rain, i can’t see how anyone would reckon of that as cruel. if you are worried about life viewed as cruel for imprisoning it, you could have a cat/dog door place in so it can come and go as it pleases. if you give a stray food, it will come back when it’s hungry, but of its own free will. Personally, if an animal is starving or dying, selection it seems as far from cruel as it gets, even if it means taking its freedom away for a while to nurse it back to health.
