Is there any way to report Petsmart of animal cruelty?
I јυѕt wеחt tһеrе yesterday tο examine tһе hamsters, аחԁ I saw a rat.
It wаѕ adorable, bυt I saw tһаt іtѕ eye wаѕ red аחԁ swollen.
I feel tеrrіbƖе fοr tһеm bесаυѕе I've heard οf animal cruelty tһеrе before.

AƖѕο, іѕ Petco аחԁ ALSIP аחу better?
Tһе rat wаѕ bу itself іח tһе cage.
Tһе eyes wеrе black, bυt һаԁ blood around іtѕ eye.

The first step if you are able would be to return to petsmart and point out that you see an obvious problem.because it has been overlooked you are under the depression that is is unimportant and simple to cure.
The pet will get the attention it deserves if a customer points out the problem if not then it is time to call pet social servives……

Petco is much better than Petsmart… and yes, call the human cociety… that isn’t allowed to keep small animals w/ other animals if they are injured, because of the contagiousness of the injury/infection. don’t just snub the rat! do something! make a difference! you can do it!

I don’t know where you all live, but the petcos I have been are run down, dirty, and the quality of life for the animals doesn’t compare to the care that our petsmarts offer.
The petcos we go to don’t take care of their rats and mice because they go for feeders.

Please call and talk to the manager, and fill out this form.
Petsmart as a company is very concerned about the well life of their animals and contacting corporate must get you some excellent consequences.
Next time you see a problem, please alert an associate. Sometimes the injuries are recent as all animals do not get along (especially in my store since we are an all male small animal store.) Of course we separate and vet as promptly as possible, but of course there is no one watching the habitats 24/7. There also must be an 800 number posted somewhere on the small animal habitat on an orange sign that reads “WE CARE WHAT YOU THINK”
I despise that some Petsmarts do not treat their animals well. I am pet care Lead at a Petsmart and I make sure all of our animals are treated well and socialized as much as possible while they are at my store.

Go back and report it to the employs! That’s the only way you can help. Employs will look at it. I get people appearance up all the time telltale me about our animals. Its not that hard. Its not doubtless even cruelty if they haven’t seen it yet. If they snub it then it is, but if they don’t even realize it is hurt how is it abuse? As the other person said we don’t have time to watch the cages all the time and some animals don’t get along.
If they don’t do anything you must talk to the manager or store manager about it. Call the hotline 800-something if nothing is done at the store.
Where I live Petco is worse. Cages never cleaned, dead/dying animals on the sales floor, etc… I don’t know what ALSIP is.
You do know that some rats have red eyes right?
